I've been studying centipedes for some time now, and one of the common things I realize is that while most people think centipedes are creepy, they don't realize that they're venomous. That's right: centipedes aren't poisonous, they're venomous. And very little is known about that venom, so I decided to investigate for myself! This was a bit of a delicate procedure, so I don't recommend anyone try to replicate what they saw in this video. I usually do encourage people to get out and interact with wildlife, but venom experiments like these are for educational purposes only- to expand our knowledge of the natural world around us. I'm a professional and have been working with wildlife for almost 20 years, so this is something I knew that I could safely do without risking injury to myself, or putting the centipede under an unnecessary amount of stress. Remember- don't try this one at home!
