Since Pakistan became an ally to the US war on terror after 9/11, the country’s northwestern region became a sanctuary for domestic and foreign militants. Over five million internally displaced people have been living in makeshift camps in northwestern Pakistan since 2004. But now, some people are taking up the cause to help ease their struggle.
