Ahhhhhhhhhhh.....this DIY shoemaking project was so much fun and SO easy to make from home!
This glitter fabric came from my FAV fabric store @newcrafthouse (They seriously have the best selection, I've made so many pairs of shoes and boots from their stock!)
Originally I was going to just do a glitter heel and platform, but something came over me and I knew I needed to use it to make the whole shoe! The result is very sparkly and very special! ✨
Here’s a little run through of how I made these sandals…
Step 1 - Firstly, I covered the insoles with the glitter fabric from the @newcrafthouse
Step 2 - I then covered the heels with the same EPIC fabric!
Step 3 - Next, I covered the platforms and straps with even more of the fabric.
Step 4 - I then lasted the uppers to the insoles.
Step 5 - Then, I attached the platform to the insoles and screwed in the heels.
Step 6 - After that, I added insole socks that had a little foam underneath for ultimate comfort.
Step 7 - Finally, I added beige resin soling to the bottom of the shoes - et voila!
Estimated time to make = 4 hours
