The Camino de Santiago route from Terradillos de los Templarios to Bercianos del Real Camino spans about 21 kilometers. This stage of the Camino Francés takes pilgrims through expansive landscapes typical of the Meseta region, with vast plains, open fields, and few shaded areas. The terrain is mostly flat, making for a relatively easy walk, although it can feel exposed in hot weather. Along the way, pilgrims pass through small, quiet villages like Moratinos and San Nicolás del Real Camino, with simple amenities and a tranquil ambiance that invites reflection before reaching Bercianos.
The last kilometers approaching Bercianos are shaded with maple trees all grown on the route alongside the road. They provide good cover on hot weather.
