About 1 year ago I built a solar water heater using garden dripline. This worked great initially, besides the PIA to coil the hose. Then came the problems. Started with lines kinking. Progressed to fittings failing from the high temps. And finally, The hose failing.
Now one year later. I am glad I did not invest any more money or time into hooking this into my tub's pumps, a temperature controller, and the motorized valves that would have been needed to automate this hunk of junk. The only good thing was it came apart real fast.
Link to Rain Bird's Catalog that show the specs for the poly tubing and why this failed. Or if you are too lazy here it is copied and pasted from the catalog.
