Water supply in several KwaZulu-Natal municipalities has been affected by loadshedding. Umgeni Water says it's unable to provide drinking water during the blackouts. Once power supply is restored, it takes at least an hour for supply mechanisms to return to full functionality. Worst affected areas use a pumping system. Nobuhle Modise reports.
