Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday welcomed world leaders at Bharat Mandapam where the G20 summit will begin shortly.
US President Joe Biden, British PM Rishi Sunak, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, UN chief Antonia Guterres, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Australia’s PM Anthony Albanese, UAE President Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other leaders of the G20 grouping gather in New Delhi for the G20 summit.
They will deliberate on pressing global issues at the grouping’s annual summit on September 9 and 10. India is hosting the summit in its capacity as the current G20 chair.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
