As part of our annual bushfire safety program we're using a helicopter to inspect powerlines in fire-prone areas. The patrols scan the network for hazards so our crews can fix any potential problems before the bushfire danger period begins. Flights started this week in the Upper Hunter and will move down the Hunter Valley into the Central Coast and Sydney between now and September.
