This was a 12 mile day hike that consisted of the Chain Lakes Loop and an out-and-back section along the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail. The hike started and ended at the Heather Meadows Visitor Center. This hike provides views of the photogenic Mt Shuksan and grand Mt Baker. The glaciers on both can be seen from my telephoto lens.
