This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Dr. Christopher Charles has spent 5 years in Cambodia documenting the anemia epidemic that affects the country in search for a low cost solution that could scale. Not only he found it, but he has turned it into a social enterprise that could help millions low income families around the world receive the same treatment.
Dr. Charles is a public health and nutrition consultant who has worked extensively throughout the developing world. In 2011 he completed a PhD in Biomedical Science and Epidemiology at the University of Guelph, Canada, with an Emphasis on international health and nutrition.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
