Big Al's Silhouette Decoys. There is also a little bit of gun-cam footage from the last hunt on birds decoying up close.
These are great for starting out and if you want to maximize your spend on decoys. I'm convinced silhouettes are the best bang for the buck. They're great for solo hunts too.
Our spread is mostly comprised of these now in combination with some full bodies, socks, and shells. If there is no wind we won't put out socks.
Usually the larger X14 goose decoys are about 4-6 feet apart and the smaller silhouettes are 3-4' apart and cranes 6-7'; it really depends on what the birds are doing though as the spread changes depending on the situation. Just be sure to mix up the angles at random and have fun.
