Description: Using statistics gathered from multiple sources available to all agencies, Rob Walker will present case studies identifying a deficient agency performance metric. He and his team developed improvement plans, and he will show how a robust QM program impacts subsequent improvement and ongoing performance. This session introduces quality management synthesis and the concept that “implementing a series of small changes may have a large impact on overall performance.”
At the conclusion of this presentation, the learner will:
- Discuss basic tools and metrics used to measure EMS quality.
- Develop a factual problem statement.
- Effectively implement the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” quality improvement process.
