On my family trip to Kelowna BC I didn’t expect to do any hiking at all. However, this mountain in front of the house we stayed at kept staring back at me!
The smoke cleared, and on the final day we could possibly hike this mountain we have it a go! And I’m sure glad we did. Not only did we have clear skies and a fresh morning start, but we were able to see above the surrounding area we stayed in.
Kelowna is beautiful and so is pretty much all of BC. Dare I say I want to live in BC? 😬 ehh Alberta has all the mountains I need 😅.
About 6km and 300m gain if you only go to the first summit. But I’d recommend walking the extra kilometer out and kilometer back or so to see the other side. It’s worth it for sure.

Wiki:
Mount Boucherie is a mountain located in West Kelowna on the west shore of Okanagan Lake, British Columbia, Canada, opposite the city of Kelowna. It is the remnants of a former stratovolcano created nearly 60 million years ago. Between four and six different glacial periods over the past 50 million years have eroded the volcano to produce Mount Boucherie. Though it now only rises 417 metres above the nearby lake level, it is estimated to once have had an elevation of 2,000 m (6,562 ft) or more.
