A few weeks ago I took our ID Buzz Camper on an epic solo adventure to the north of Scotland and we released a series of videos of the trip during December over on our main Roaming Radfords YouTube channel.

My challenge is to drive the North Coast 500 in our fully electric ID Buzz Campervan and to charge it just using the public charging network. Will the doubters be right? What is the true range of The Buzz in a freezing Scottish winter? What is the true state of the UK charging infrastructure, are we really ready for a fully electric world?

Although our electric camper is well insulated, we didn’t install any additional heating in The Buzz when building it. Will I be able to keep warm whist sleeping in the van with just the vehicles built in heater in sub zero conditions? Can I make it around the NC500 or will the electric charging infrastructure let me down?
