Rescue operation has been stepped up in Tamil Nadu, as the forces — Indian Navy, Army, Air Force and NDRF — join hands.
The Indian Army and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel are being carried by the Indian Air Force (IAF). So far, the army and the National Disaster Response Force have rescued more than 4,000 people. But many still marooned.
