Crota's End Master mode is out along with the encounter challenges. They rotate each week, so check the modifiers on the raid to see which one is active. This guide goes over the "Conservation of Energy" Challenge for the first encounter - The Abyss. I'll explain how the challenge works (and how other people's interpretation of the challenge aren't quite correct), gear/loadouts that all players can use (so not just "use eager edge and strand"), master mode information, and a full run with using only Free-2-Play gear (and no eager edge).

Notes:
Went thru other creators guides/footage and they contradict themselves or don't notice them enlightening twice in a row. Examples: In Aztecross' day 1 challenge clear, they enlightened at 2 lamps between the 4th and 5th Pedestal. In Datto's day 1 challenge clear, he only enlightened 3 times. So, you don't have to enlighten lamps and it's not "1 lamp per set" or "you have to alternate preserves and enlightens". If you look at my test footage you'll find one part that disproves my "theory": if you enlighten the first lamp BEFORE you preserve the chalice, you don't fail. But if you then enlighten the 2nd Lamp (after you preserved at the start), you DO fail. This was the only thing that broke my theory. I just chocked it up as "why would you enlighten the first lamp before preserving". If anyone has any more experience or theory crafting to completely nail down this challenge, let me know.
