The EU Digital Covid Certificate officially launched on July 1, 2021. Here's what you need to know about Europe's "Green Certificate" (also referred to as a health passport or vaccine passport) for travel to the European Union and also within the Schengen Zone. The EU Green Certificate is a QR code in paper or digital format that holds your name, date of birth, country of residence or destination, and testing or immunity status. It will be valid in all EU Member States and available to locals and foreign tourists alike.

EU residents can apply for a Green Pass through your health center, doctor, local health department, pharmacies, and more.

Foreigners and international tourists can request a Covid Certificate from their country of destination. Check with the local health authorities, tourism board, border control, airlines, and in the app store for the country-specific app you're looking for or for more information.
