Around 150 million Americans are under weather advisories of some sort after a massive winter storm hit central parts of the United States amid record low temperatures.
Multiple deaths have been reported, including at least three people killed by a tornado in North Carolina.
In Texas, more than 4 million homes and businesses started Tuesday without power after the storm caused significant damage to the electrical grid.
Local officials are urging people to stay at home while they clear the roads and thousands of flights have been cancelled or delayed.
The snow is expected to slowly move east and bring heavy snow and freezing rain to New England and parts of the Eastern Great Lakes.
