The Weber Genesis II and II LX are some of the best selling Weber grills. The LX has a basic stainless handle. The LX model has an LED light attached to it so you can see while grilling in the dark.
The warming rack on the LX can be folded away instead of just taken off.
The Genesis II has porcelain-coated grates and Flavorizer bars. The Genesis II LX has stainless steel grates and Flavorizer bars which allow for better heat retention and they won't chip or flake.
The burners for both of them have a little window to let you know if the burners are on.
The burners all have their own ignitors so if there are any issues you can replace them and they are also more reliable.
The burners are also tapered in the back, which allows for more even heat distribution from front to back as well as an addition to 1000 BTUs. This make preheating the grill much quicker.
The regular model has a more open design in the shelving. The propane tank is also outside from under the grill for more room underneath.
