Just spent a couple days on Ocracoke Island and am on the way back to Pungo Creek. It's about a 48 mile run, one way. I was by myself on this trip, slept on the boat which is something I'm trying to get used to. Our last boat has 7 berths, 2 heads, 3 showers, full galley, Air-conditioning/heat, and the most comfortable queen-size bed in the aft cabin. I miss all the comforts, but I don't miss taking care of it. This smaller Parker is VERY easy to maintain, although lacking in amenities; but I knew this when we bought it. When Vicky is along, we'll stay in a hotel that provides docking!
