This talk introduces Elixir and the Erlang VM through Livebook: a modern open-source computational notebook platform. We will discuss how notebooks can leverage functional programming ideas, explore how the Erlang VM runs millions of concurrent processes and introspect them. From there, we will live code web applications, machine learning apps, and much more.
