Our EP, Ekanto, feels like words penned down in a solitary journal—private, yet resonant. You could be the protagonist, or maybe it’s me, or perhaps all of us. Through this collection of songs, we’ve reflected on an evolving journey of a human soul navigating through various personal beliefs, doubts, and emotions buried deep within. In reality, despite the hustle, the noise, and the entanglements of relationships, each of us inhabits a personal realm of belief, time, consciousness, and imagination—where these elements coexist without boundaries.This EP is a tribute to those intimate words, to that solitary space within us all.

Journal 1216 started this journey as a random ‘two men’s band’ in the neighborhood with an oath of making soulful and meaningful music that expresses our thoughts to the listener'. In this EP, along with Nazif and Saqeeb, Md Khairul Islam Dipu worked as a drummer in these compositions and this trio lineup is currently bearing the torch of the journey.
