So you bought your domain from Namecheap but now you want to host and build your website on SiteGround. I'll walk you through step by step here in this video.
NOTE: This is using the older version of SitGround which utilizes cPanel.

Step by step: (After you have purchased your domain name)
3:30 - Login to Namecheap
3:37 - Go to "Account" - "Domain List"
3:47 - Click "Manage" on the domain that you want to point
3:56 - Scroll to "NAMESERVERS" and select "Custom DNS" from the drop-down
4:19 - Open a new tab and log into your SiteGround account
4:25 - Click "My Accounts" then click "Go To cPanel"
4:31 - Find the two nameservers on the left side and copy one at a time
4:42 - Paste the nameservers one at a time into the Namecheap custom DNS1 & DNS2
Save changes on Namecheap
5:07 - Back on Sitegrounds cPanel, click "Addon Domains"
5:16 - Fill out the section "Create an Addon Domain". Be sure to type in your domain just as Namecheap has it. (www OR non-www). The subdomain and document root will auto-populate. Create a strong password and use a password manager.
Now, this process can take up to 48 hours! However, it can happen sooner. To check if the site has successfully transferred, type in your domain name and if a 404 page with SiteGround branding shows up then you have a winner!
