Kaikoura is a small town north of Christchurch that offers unparalleled coastal beauty in New Zealand. The stark contrast of the snow covered mountains meeting the bright blue ocean seas, provides a stunning backdrop for all sorts of wildlife viewing. Although Kaikoura is primarily known for the seal colonies that populate the nooks and crannies of its rocky shoreline, there's ample opportunity for bird watching, whale watching, swimming with dolphins and many more wonderful things to do in this natural beauty.
