The Trainees spent this week refining the skills they learned in Week 1 of the Hose Cadre, while adding several new hose evolutions to their Firefighting library. During the second week of this cadre, the Trainees practiced deploying progressive brush fire hose lays, large diameter master stream hose lays, and standard firefighting hose lays used in common residential fires. The standard hose lays each demand deploying and controlling a hoseline that produces between 100-150 gallons per minute.
