I'm proud to present you my final thesis film for the New York Film Academy 6-Week Documentary Filmaking Workshop. Within my first week in New York I met Brandon, Founder of the Strangers Project, wich immediately caught my attention. The idea of this masterpiece is to collect stories from random people all over the world and afterwards share them anonymously. In that way people can connect and emphasize with each other. "Besides being amusing and interesting to read, it offers people a channel to share their problems but also helps them realise that they are not alone with their troubles" explains Brandon. So for ten years Brandon sets up his booth nearly every day at Washington square park, to collect and share new stories. I had the amazing opportunity to interview him and later follow him as he set up his stand, which resulted in this short documentary. However if you ever are in New York definitely drop by Washington square park and keep an eye out for him.
