30-year-old Eric Maes is accused of kidnapping his 10-month-old son and killing the boy's mother in the process. Court records show that in the last two years, Maes had a history of domestic violence and substance abuse.
Maes' son, Abel, was found at the house of one of Maes' friends. The friend called the police when he discovered the baby at his home.
