This is one of the longest beaches on the southern end of the chain of islands. The large dunes protect the islands from the ocean and waves.
The Magdalen Islands are a chain of islands in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence about 100 km north of Prince Edward Island and are part of the provice of Quebec. The islands form a chain over 70 km long, and have 300 km of beaches. A great place for a different vacation and a different kind of urban exploration.
