(*strong language) Did you see this go out live on the night all those years ago? The Sex Pistols, along with The Bromley Contingent, on the Today Show with Bill Grundy, 1 Dec 1976. Rock group Queen had cancelled at short notice so were replaced by the Sex Pistols with their entourage in tow. The show was always broadcast live and uncensored, it went out weekdays at 18:00. What ensued became a national news story with headlines like 'The Filth and the Fury'. At the end of the interview Grundy could be seen mouthing the words "Oh $h..!" And well he might. One member of the public was reported to have been so outraged that he kicked in the screen of his new £380 television set. As a result of the broadcast, Bill Grundy was suspended for two weeks and the Today show was cancelled two months later.
