Hi all,
I am presenting this video for you to demonstrate my latest Arduino based Energy Meter and it's functions. This can measure the,
1) Current which draws from devices.
2) Wattage of connected devices.
3) Used amount of total energy in kilo Watt Hours (kWh).
4) Calculated price for electricity used.
This has can be operated from mobile phones through SMS services. These functions are as follows.
1) User can get currently used energy units and calculated bill (SMS).
2) User can disconnect the main power supply for connected devices (SMS).
3) User can reconnect the power supply again (SMS).
And also it has three LED indicators to notify the currently used energy.
This circuit has used a SIM800 GSM module to handle SMS service
A 5V relay has used to connect and disconnect the power supply. A ZMCT103C current sensor has used to measure the current. I have used a hair dryer as the load device.
Benefits of this project :
1) User can monitor the Energy usage and its bill remotely.
2) User can connect and disconnect power source remotely.
3) This will be helpful for people who owns factories which uses lots of machines because they can monitor the power usage and handle them remotely.
