In this video I go over the easiest way to fix a Mr. Buddy Heater that won't light or want stay lite. This issue is directly related to using a larger tank and a hose line to run the heater. You may also notice the pilot light not working as expected as well but the good thing is that it is a relatively easy fix and free to fix.

The issue is most likely from the hose you are using. If you are like me, you are using the heater off and on over a weekend and do not turn off the propane tank. This leads to oils being extracted from the rubber the hose is made out of. The oils then block flow and the heater will stop working or won't stay lite.

A tall tale sign of this being the issue with your buddy heater is if the pilot light either stops working or starts but then is small and stops. Ultimately the heater will stop working.

So before you throw away the heater, try this quick fix first!
