In Kenya, which is located in the east on the map of Africa, the huge crack has appeared. Researchers report that a giant rift is tearing through Africa dividing it into two parts. The consistent cracking of the ground has been predicted to cause severe damages to the earth.

The crack is caused by heavy rainfall in the area, and this led to an underlying superheated plume. The heat causes pressure which forces the earth to become unstable, and this leads to the Africa continent splitting into two. The rift has been reported to be gradually extending at the rate of one millimeter every year. The extension of the rift is accelerating due to heavy rainfall and semantic activity. The crack has currently expanded to 50 feet deep and 66 feet wide.

Scientists say Africa is breaking into two separate plates. These two plates are moving away from each other, and some African countries are separating. The separation of these two plates will break Africa into two land masses with time.
