This is a follow-up to my previous video
"Four Renaissance Bagpipes" This starts with my self-made Pibgorn, or Hornpipe (1979). This Pibgorn could also be tied into a Bag to make a Welsh Bagpipe (See Chad Fross' video here on You-Tube).
Next, the Bb Gaita Galega (by the Taller Represas) from N.W. Spain. Lastly, a mid-sized "Germanic" Dudelsack.
In the 1500's it was played in the Netherlands, Flanders, the German states, and all the way East to Vienna, Austria (There's an example in the Art Museum in Wein).
The Drones and Stocks are by Victor Nerinckx, a Major Maker of the European Bagpipe Revival of the 1970's.
The "G" Chanter was made by Robert D. Thomas (RIP).
I've been playing this Bagpipe since 1978.
I have had so Many, Many Hours of Fun with this particular set of Pipes !!!
My clothes are in the style of a middle class, Flemish Wool Merchant, circa 1540. The Shirt, Smock, Hat, etc. by Sharon Devlin Folsom, which was made in 1992 for my "Music of Antiquity Show" that i did for Computer Science Corporation / Index Forum, circa 1989-1998.
