In this video I show you how to do a test print from a Brother MFC-J5335DW inkjet printer, directly from the machine itself. This means that this method can be used with the PC off or even if your printer is not connected to anything at all.
A nozzle check is a great way to troubleshoot print quality issues with your Brother printer, and check the printer's ability to produce black, cyan, magenta and yellow using the installed LC3217/LC3219 cartridges. This method of checking print quality also leads you into cleaning cycles for your printer, allowing you to improve the print quality and remove gaps or lines, before offering to do another nozzle check afterwards.
This piece of essential maintenance can also be done on many other Brother printers, including the MFC-J2330DW, MFC-J2730DW, MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J5730DW or MFC-J5930DW.
