LEGO Fortnite just got a massive content update and here’s everything that you need to know about it.

First things first, it has a new name! It’s now called LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, with just LEGO Fortnite now referring to the franchise of LEGO play experiences within Fortnite, including Odyssey, LEGO Islands and the soon-to-launch LEGO Fortnite Brick Life.

Moving on to the actual update, a new dark presence has arrived in your world: the Storm King from Fortnite: Save the World! Storms have appeared around the island and they’re quite dangerous! Not only are they swarming with enemies and constantly being hit by lightning strikes, but you’ll also be teleported out if you don’t keep eating Storm Fruit.

To repel his invasion, you’ll need to find the Storm Chaser Village, a settlement full of allies in need of your help. Complete quests, which will appear in your Journal and on your HUD, to prepare for the fight.

Once you’re ready, head towards one of the storms to find a Storm Dungeon, filled with dangerous enemies like Acolytes and Storm Crawlers. You’ll need to conquer various challenges, like destroying crystals and surviving waves of enemies, before having to face the Thunder Lord. Defeat him and the storm will disappear, but only temporarily. After 24 hours, it’ll reappear with new pathways and puzzles.

After clearing several dungeons and upgrading the Storm Chaser Base Camp, you’ll want to pay a visit to Raven. Enter his dungeon and fight him to unlock a mysterious gateway at the center of the biggest storm leading to the Storm King’s dimension.

What follows is a multi-stage boss fight. You’ll have to survive all of his incoming attacks while damaging his weak points when they’re exposed. If you somehow manage to take him down, you’ll be rewarded with the Thunderclap Blade, Cyclone Pickaxe and Shatterhorn Fragments. Of course, this is also only temporary and, after just a day, he’ll have regained his strength.

There’s now two new guided vehicle builds, the quick Storm Chaser and floating Lil’ Barge, as well as the Legendary Forge, which allows you to imbue Tier 4 weapons and tools with Rift Crystals. The more you use them, the more powerful they’ll become until they evolve into their final form and receive new abilities. Plus, the Slurp Launcher, which you can use to heal yourself.

Several quality of life improvements have been added to the game. The health and damage of enemies has been adjusted, with overall difficulty now the same regardless of biome. They’ll also now be marked with a Threat Indicator if you’re ill-prepared for them.

When you die, you can now be revived by both players and NPCs. You can also now choose the materials to use when crafting weapons and tools, which determines their attributes and rarity.

Plus, we’ve gotten increases for melee range, jump height, inventory size, item durability, item stack sizes and starting health, while stamina consumption has been reduced. Cold and Warm temperatures won’t damage you anymore. And an in-game text chat has been added.

Finally, you’ll be able to earn two new free Outfits. Mr Dappermint can be unlocked by linking your LEGO Insiders and Epic Games accounts together, similarly to Explorer Emilie at launch, and the Chord Kahele outfit, which you’ll get from earning XP in Fortnite while playing on a mobile device.
