All India Congress Committee organised a remembrance ceremony to mark the 33rd death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi in Delhi on May 21. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Vir Bhumi. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Several Congress leaders including Sachin Pilot, P Chidambaram and KC Venogopal also paid tributes. Notably, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991, at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.
