I’m talking about the Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy Temple in Telangana. This Temple gets its name from the dual presence of God Shiva or Mukteshwara, and Lord Yama or Kaleshwara. this Temple is one of the three temples of Lord Shiva in Trilinga Desham. The other two temples are Draaksharamam and Srisailam.
The Temple is situated at the meeting point of three rivers - the Godavari, Pranahita, and the hidden Saraswati. This confluence, known as Triveni Sangam, is considered highly sacred in Hinduism.
This Temple boasts several unique features, one of which is the hole in the Mukteshwara Linga that can never be filled with water. The reason behind it is still a wonder; many researchers have failed to provide any explanation for this phenomenon. Another interesting sculpture is the fish idol seen here. Though the origin of this sculpture is unknown. The Temple is mentioned in various ancient scriptures like the Mahabharata and Skanda Purana, and it is considered one of the most powerful God Shiva temples.
