Formerly the Oak Tavern, Sarge Oak has a checkered past as it was once an underground location in the community for illegal gambling. Sidney Sargent, the former owner of the Oak Tavern and Sargent Fine Foods, merged the two establishments turning it into a legitimate dining establishment with a focus on steaks served to the owner's liking.
