Built in 1933 this is the worlds largest wooden bridge Goat Canyon Trestle in De Anza Hot Springs, and they put a train on this thing. Its been closed since 2008 and rocks have caved in covering a lot.
It was sick, tons of warnings about heat but it was a good day, you def need an off road car to get to the trail head and then a surron or some strong ebike to get up there. It says 3 miles there but it took an hour and a half on bikes because you have to go super slow with the whole 2 foot path and 10,000 foot drop off
Help Getting There
When you get there, the maps is a liar, take the left off the main road onto the dirt, keep going down that sketchy dirt road, there will be this big metal thing in front of you but theres a way to take the path right, go right until the end of the dirt path that cars can fit on, and then follow the train tracks all the way up. You will go over like 8 bridges and threw a few tunnels and then you will get to the mega goat trestle
