Highlights from Caroline Kay's show Notes and Other Stuff in the Sugar Club Dublin.
We're delighted to welcome Caroline's show to Triskel Christchurch at 8pm on Sat 15 September.
With the help of London-based Composer, Arranger, and Musical Director, Tom Lees on piano, Caroline hopes to take you on an entertaining journey through the ups and downs of her creative, musical life since moving to London. As the title suggests, the gig will include the songs from Caroline’s EP, plus plenty of ‘other stuff’! Along with a few well-known tunes, Caroline’s love of Musical Theatre will be evident in much of the set-list with songs from the West End and Broadway, as well as some premier performances of songs from the new original Irish musical she is writing.
After moving to London and graduating with a Masters Degree in Musical Theatre Performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Caroline made her professional debut playing the lead role of Jenny Cavilleri in the off-West End production of Love Story. Since then, Caroline has performed at a range of concerts with many industry professionals from both the West End and Broadway such as Shoshana, Natalie Weiss, Scott Alan, and writing duos Webborn & Finn and Dan & Laura Curtis.
Though auditioning in the West End with the goal of a career in Musical Theatre, Caroline is always working on one creative project or another. Last year she independently released an original EP called ‘Notes’, which went straight to number 1 in the Irish iTunes Album Charts and number 2 in the U.K. Singer/Songwriter Charts. She is now delighted that she can bring her first solo concert, ‘Notes & Other Stuff”, to Cork after a successful night in Dublin and NYC back in June. Caroline is also looking forward to taking the show to a West End theatre in London later in September!
