This a very attractive orchid specie which always produces a lot of flowers. With well over 300 species and hybrids, they are a delight to grow. Even outside their pseudo tropical environment, they can survive. Most inhabit Central America and the Caribbean; almost all are epiphytes with a few terrestrials. Grow n Care: Most oncidiums will grow easily indoors, but they will do better with bright light and even some sun. In the growing season they need to be water and fertilized well. generally avoid low temperatureshigh 50's and above will guarantee attractive plants with rewarding blooms. Their pseudobulbs can easily be divided to produce new plants, kept in a porous bark mixture. It is best to stick to at least 3 pseudobulbs per plant when repotting.
