Congress has formally validated Joe Biden's presidential election victory.
The United States Senate resumed debate on certifying the presidential election results, hours after rioters stormed the building.
A rally held in support of the President turned to chaos when protesters entered the Capitol building and made it to the floor of both houses of Congress.
Mr Biden defeated Mr Trump by 306-232 electoral votes and will be inaugurated on January 20.
