The boldly striped fish are Ishidai (Striped Beakfish or Barred Knifejaw in English). My original plan was to be polespearing these kinds of edible fish, but the longer I hang out with them underwater, the less I want to kill them.
Note: Hunting with polespears and spearguns are illegal in most Japanese prefectures, including my prefecture Hyogo. I believe it's legal in Tokushima prefecture on the island of Shikoku, but don't quote me on that!
