In this video I go over the basics of making staple fibre yarn and filament yarn and explain the difference between the two.
The result of those processes will be a single ply yarn which can be used for weaving or knitting for example.
I try to explain all the steps as easily as possible just to give an overview over the process.

The clips in this video were originally filmed for short format content. But the 60s limit on YouTube is just a little to short to actually make informative videos on the topic which is why I chose to edit it all into one. They are part of my "fabric school" series, where I try to teach you things about fabrics that you might not know and how fabrics are actually made. To later be able to show and explain what makes a fabric or garment good or bad and what you should be looking out for when purchasing something new for your own closet.
