Alcohol prices in Grand Cayman are high. Unlike the Virgin Islands and other places, alcohol cannot be purchased duty-free and consumed while in Grand Cayman. Duty-free alcohol can only be purchased before leaving Grand Cayman via airport or cruise ship port. The average price for a 24-pack of beer in Grand Cayman is $40-$50 USD and that's the local beer!
