Food Tour Guide Michael Lin drops by the first US location of internationally known 85°C Bakery Café in Irvine, CA to show you a baker's dozen of its most popular fresh bread. When it started in Taiwan, 85°C was actually a cafe that specialized in sea salt foam topped iced coffee. There is now a wide variety of not only hot and iced beverages but breads and cakes on the menu also.
Not only does 85°C make traditional favorites like pork sung and red bean bread, they are great at getting creative with their contemporary items such as their Berrytale, the chocolate chip bowl, and elote (Mexican corn) bread. The best one might just be the brioche loaf.
Subscribe, like, and comment below with your favorite 85°C Bakery Café bread and drink. There are locations in Irvine, Southern California, Bay Area, Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas, Houston area, and all over the US.
This video is dedicated to my friend Grace who worked at this bakery and announced all the "fresh bread" that came right out of the oven! Thank you also to Ashley, Steph, and Christina who participated and supported the making of this video.
Love our food; love our people, and #StopAsianHate. Stay tuned for an episode on Taiwanese coffee and more Taiwanese baked goods in this series about Taiwanese bakeries from Food Tour Guide Michael Lin.
