Thank you for joining Seaside United Methodist Church of Sunset Beach, NC, for today's Traditional Worship Service! This Sunday we find the Jesus that we like to see: the Jesus who stands up for the downtrodden and stands against the religious authorities. We cheer Jesus on: “You tell ‘em Jesus!” But if we really evaluate the gospel stories, and look at our own religious sensibilities, we might find that we have more in common with the Pharisees than we think. There may even be some things we see Jesus do in our world that would cause us to become indignant.
