Munich / Germany is the capital city of the state of Bavaria. As a local and also tourist favorite it is also one of the priciest big cities in the country. We regularly walk in Munich as it has a nice walkable center and some relaxing parks.
On this walk we are on our way from the Odeonsplatz towards the train station where we catch a train (to Mittenwald and later Garmisch-Partenkirchen). The Odeonsplatz is a large named for the former concert hall, the Odeon, on its northwestern side. The main sight there is the Feldherrnhalle.
On the way to the main station (München Hauptbahnhof) we first check some sights like the "Residenz" - the former royal palace. The old town with the main square "Marienplatz" with its iconis town hall is also on our way.
Later we see a different and less touristy part of the center mostly near the central train station where still many of the more affordable hotels are located.
