Walk up the "Snake Path" at Masada, an ancient biblical ruin of Herod's fortress high up on the top of a mountain plateau. This is where the Jews held up resistance from Roman conquest for 3 years. When the Romans finally reached the summit, they found the Jews had committed suicide rather than be captured.
