This week, we're diving into the power of timely decision-making and commitment as we reflect on 2024 and set goals for 2025. As the year winds down, I’m getting more questions like, "What’s my house worth?" and "When should I list?" While some of these decisions are driven by life events, for many, it’s a choice with the luxury of time.

In his book The Science of Hitting, Ted Williams talks about decision-making at the plate: "Everybody knows how to hit, but very few really do." His success came from studying the game, understanding opponents, and using past knowledge to predict the next pitch. The same goes for real estate—studying the market, understanding the context, and making informed decisions are key.

But just like baseball, there’s no “called strike” in real estate. You can wait for the perfect pitch, but sometimes, that perfect house might be gone tomorrow. We need to stay disciplined, be ready to make decisions, and act swiftly when the time is right. But don’t wait too long! Henry James reminds us that life’s biggest missed opportunities often come from waiting for the "perfect moment."

It’s about finding balance: Prepare, study, be patient, but also take action when the moment calls for it. As we head into 2025, let’s remember: a few good decisions can set us up for success, but the key is knowing when to swing. ⚾️
